Common questions
I never got my sign-in code.
Check the spam folder first — it comes from no-reply@onequarter.app. Codes
expire after 15 minutes, so if it has been sitting a while, ask for a fresh one. Requesting
several in a row is rate-limited; wait a minute and try once more.
Notifications are not arriving.
In the iPhone app, check Settings → Notifications → One Quarter, and that notifications are switched on inside the app itself. In a web browser on iPhone, Apple only allows notifications for sites added to the Home Screen: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and turn notifications on from there. Email reminders arrive either way.
The app looks out of date.
In the iPhone app, update it from the App Store. In a browser, close the tab and open the site again.
Can I tick a day that has already gone?
Within the current week, yes — you can tick Monday on a Wednesday. Once a week's Sunday ends, that week is final and cannot be filled in later. You cannot tick a day that has not happened yet.
Someone missed a week unfairly. Can it be undone?
A group admin can waive any fine, from the Leaderboard.
How do I leave a group?
Open the group, go to Settings, and leave from there. Fines already recorded against you stay on the group's record so the dinner still adds up.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete my account. You will be asked to type DELETE, and then it happens straight away. What is erased and what is kept is set out on the privacy page. It does not cancel an App Store subscription — see below.
The group plan
What does it cost?
Groups of up to three people are free. From the fourth member, the group needs the group plan — £4.99 a month in the UK, and the equivalent where you are. One person buys it in the iPhone app and everybody who joins on the invite code is covered.
How do I cancel it?
It is an App Store subscription, so Apple manages it: on your iPhone go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → One Quarter. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. The group keeps working until the period already paid for runs out.
I changed phone and the plan has gone.
Open the group in the iPhone app and tap Restore purchase on the plan screen, signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple rather than by the app. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do the fines cost real money?
Only between you. Fines are a running total settled in person at the end-of-quarter dinner. No fine money moves through the app, and the app never collects card details.

Reporting a problem
If something is broken, the most useful email says what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead — plus roughly when, so it can be matched against the logs. A screenshot helps more than anything.
